LG Sentio GS505 – An Affordable and Solid Mid-range Touchscreen Phone

Geared towards younger users, the LG Sentio GS505 for T-Mobile is an attractive candybar-style touchscreen phone designed for frequent texting and social networking. Packed with useful features like 3G, A-GPS, stereo Bluetooth and email support, it will fulfill your everyday communication needs without breaking the bank.

At 4.21" high by 2.07" wide by 0.45" deep and 3.26 ounces, the Sentio is no doubt a lightweight and slim handset that easily slips into your pocket. The 3-inch screen display features resistive touch technology while showing 262k colors and 240x400-pixel resolution. It offers a virtual QWERTY keyboard that changes its orientation when you tilt the phone. The handset has four home screens and you can customize them with widgets so as to keep those frequently used programs upfront.
The Sentio has what it takes to keep up with your active social life. With the Java-based Social Buzz app, you can access to social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Myspace in one place. Even when it is just running in the background, the app will keep you posted of new feeds and status updates with pop-up notifications.

Other than that, the phone is integrated with both text and picture/video messaging. It supports basic email services like AOL, Gmail and Yahoo Mail. You can also choose to chat with friends instantly using IM clients such as AIM, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger.

The Sentio has some great multimedia offers as well. Apart from the built-in 3-megapixel camera/camcorder with autofocus and digital zoom, the phone also comes with audio and music players supporting various file formats. And with built-in GPS, you can get voice-guided driving directions and real-time locations on maps from TeleNav GPS Navigator. Other features include YouTube, HTML Web browsing through T-Mobile's web2go browser, Visual Voicemail and one-touch speakerphone. There is 88MB of internal storage available on the handset, and users can use a microSD card to expand memory up to 16GB.

To sum up, the LG Sentio GS505 does not have fancy high-end features, yet it covers all the basics well. Those who want an easy-to-use touchscreen feature phone will be pleased with its compact form factor, solid performance and reasonable price.
