Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus Breakup: ‘Wrecking Ball’ Singer Hints on Twitter She Missed ‘Hunger Games’ Star During New Year’s?

Ever since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth broke up, it has been an emotional roller coaster for the both of them, especially after finding out her ex-fiance was hooking up with Eiza Gonzalez. Although the “Wrecking Ball” singer claims to be focusing on moving forward, she hinted that she still misses the “Hunger Games” actor.
During New Year’s, Cyrus posted tweets regarding her relationship with Hemsworth.
“What about that night we laid by the fire and listened to The Cardigans all night long...good times,” tweeted Cyrus. “So many good memories made this year.”
Despite her feelings towards her ex-fiance, Cyrus is not putting the split behind her once and for all and is continuing with her musical career.
“She doesn’t speak with Liam,” said a source to Hollywood Life. “She has another life now that doesn’t involve him. When she was with him, she only thought marriage, now she can only think of life without him and to her, it’s so far so good.”
The insider added that Cyrus’s “big year” is the only thing that the singer wants to focus on now.
“She doesn’t want to be serious with anyone, she isn’t looking to date and is not looking for any type of man,” said the source. “She wants her tour to be a success and her career to get even bigger. She is having fun by having fun and doesn’t want a man to ruin it.”
Cyrus previously opened up about Hemsworth to Barbara Walters, admitting that she thought that they were too young for marriage.
“I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think conquering that fear this year was actually bigger than any other transition that I had this entire year,” said Cyrus during Walter’s “10 Most Fascinating People of 2013” special.
“I don’t ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like without them you can’t be yourself. I think I’ll want that in the time that it needs to be,” continued Cyrus. “I don’t think I realized what 19 truly is. I got engaged at 19. I definitely wouldn’t change being engaged, it was so fun wearing a fat rock for a few years. But now, I just feel like I can actually be happy. I wait for those moments of silence when I’m just at my house, by myself.”
Although Cyrus still cares for Hemsworth, “she’s confused about how she feels” and wants to focus on her music.
“I need to treat my music like a relationship - give it amy time and all the attention it deserves - and that’s my main love right now,” said Cyrus to Cosmopolitan. “This is the best time of my life. I’m not going to look back on it and be like, ‘I wish I hadn’t been dwelling over a breakup,’ you know? Because that’s not what God wants my life to be about right now.”
