Sanyo Innuendo – Makes A Texter’s Dream Come True!
Designed with quick texting in mind, the Sanyo Innuendo for Sprint is a flip-out feature phone with a subtle s-curve design and a shiny touch-sensitive exterior. Aside from a distinctive and sleek appearance, it also sports a number of functional features, making it a respectable successor to last year's Incognito.
The Innuendo inherited its predecessor's unique clamshell form factor. On the front, it has a tiny external display plus a touch dial pad with luminous keys and vibration feedback. When you open the phone sideways, you will find a 2.8-inch LCD screen supporting 400 x 240 pixels and 262,000 colors, and a full QWERTY messaging keyboard with emoticon shortcut key. The handset remains pocket-sized at 4.1" high by 2.2" wide by 0.6" thick, and lightweight at 3.8 ounces.
As a Sprint 3G device, the Innuendo uses the carrier's proprietary OneClick interface. That means you can customize the home screen with various shortcuts to your favorite features, including dedicated apps for popular social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
The phone comes with text and multimedia messaging, with text messages displayed in threaded style for a chat-like interface. You also get instant messaging for AIM, Yahoo, Windows Live Messenger and other clients. For email, Sprint Mobile Email supports a number of POP3/IMAP4 accounts and allows access to email from corporate servers including Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes Domino.
In the media department, the Innuendo is now equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera/camcorder (compared to the Incognito's 2.0-megapixel shooter). It supports both music and video playback in multiple file formats. You can also enjoy a set of Sprint's 3G multimedia services, which covers Sprint TV for live and on-demand programming, Sprint Radio for dozens of streaming channels, and Sprint Music Store for wireless music downloads. Moreover, the handset has built-in GPS navigation capabilities with Sprint Navigation, which enables you to easily get turn-by-turn directions wherever you go.
Last but not least, the Innuendo offers Web browsing with Google Search, stereo Bluetooth, voice recognition, voice dialing, a proximity sensor, a 2.5mm headset jack and a speakerphone. Other than 40MB of internal memory, there is also a microSD card slot that allows expansion up to 32GB.
The Sanyo Innuendo has outdone its predecessor in terms of design, multimedia elements and social networking features. It is a user-friendly mid-range phone that can fulfill every aspect of your communication and entertainment needs.
