How Do I Submit A Sitemap To Google - Webmaster Tools

It's very essential for webmasters to submit sitemap to Google, these would help search engines like Google understand's and indexed your website or blog easily. But before submitting your sitemap to Google, you need to take the first necessary step by creating an XML sitemap for your website or blog. Creating an XML sitemap would help Google and other search engines to easily crawl and recognized your website each time a search is conducted.
Now lets move straight to the point by outlining the importance and the necessary steps to be taken during the submission. Also note that submitting your sitemap would not only help Google see and index your blog; but would also boost your blog's traffic. That's why it's necessary to submit sitemap to Google webmaster tools so as to make your blog visible to search engines including Google.

How Do I Submit A Sitemap To Google?

1. You need to first => sign-in <= to your Google Webmaster Tools Account
2. Now click on the => Blog <= to submit it's sitemap to Google webmaster tools.
3. Click on the => Crawl <= link just by the left-side of the Webmaster Tools page as shown below.

4. Click the Crawl link as shown in (STEP 1), and just below it click on Sitemap as shown in (STEP 2).

5. Click the   button found at to top-right-side of the Webmaster Tools page.
6. Immediately after clicking on the button, a text box would appear as shown below.

7. Now paste the codes given below in the text-area if your blog posts is less than  500 , then click Submit Sitemap button as shown above.

8. Or paste  the codes given below in the text-area if your blog post is above  500 , then click Submit Sitemap button.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
9. But if your blog posts is over  1000 , then paste the following codes in the text-area and click Submit Sitemap button.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500
 10. Once you click on the Submit Sitemap you'll see a notification box containing a text that says:
11. Click on Refresh the page link to see how many of your posts that has been submitted and indexed.
12. That's all! You're done submitting a sitemap to Google.
