Lauren Lieberman, Associate Photo Editor I always have trouble finding the perfect summer-to-fall transition shoe, so when I saw these Michael Michael Kors “Damita” Wedges I had to buy them.
The espadrille wedge still gives it a fun, summery feel while the canvas strap covers enough of the foot to go into fall. (Plus the zipper is a cute, shiny detail!)
They are great for work or play, and won’t murder my feel while walking around the city in them. And at $109.95 with free shipping at Nordstrom.com, what more could you ask for!?

Andrea Lavinthal, Style Director: Full disclosure: I didn’t actually purchase the necklace I’m wearing here. It was a gift from a friend who’s the co-founder of an amazing handmade jewelry line called M~Gems. I was browsing the brand’s Facebook page when I spotted this long blue/black beaded necklace with an oversize agate horn (it’s called the “Veronica”. I immediately emailed my friend (actual subject line: “Need This Necklace Now”) and she kindly sent it to me.
So far I’ve worn it out to dinner with the magenta Club Monaco dress I bought a few weeks ago and to the Beyoncé concert this past Sunday with a tank and my all-time favorite Hudson denim vest. And even though I was surrounded by girls in their best “freakum” dresses, it was my M~Gems necklace that got the most attention in Section 25. Want one of your own? Check out their Facebook page or mgemsjewelry.com.

Jackie Fields, Writer-Reporter: My summer bucket list is pretty short. Basically, as long as I spend Fourth of July in my hometown of Boston, eat a lobster roll a week, and put in some serious face time at a ocean, I’m a happy girl. But this summer, I just haven’t been able to fulfill my dream of being a part-time beach bum. And I’m beyond sad over this.
So, a few weeks ago I was stunned when I walked into a Bloomingdales only to smell the sent of … surf! I tracked down the refreshing scent to a cheerful soy candle from R. Nichols, which I have been burning at home ever since. I even bought one to sit in my office, which smells little more like a vacation every time I step into it
