One of the major reasons for using a smartphone is that we want to integrate multiple functions in one single device. Whether these functions are easily accessible is surely another important issue. The LG messaging smartphone Xenon with AT&T has done a great job in this with its 2.8" touchscreen. It offers the greatest convenience with unique interface that makes contacts, menus and shortcuts available right at hand.

LG Xenon provides users with three customizable standby screens. On the Favorite Contacts screen, users can store up to three pages of contacts with the person’s name, phone number and photo, allowing more convenient access to friends and family. You can also add up to nine shortcuts on the Favorite Application Shortcuts screen, so to have easier access to phone functions. The Home screen can also be customized by various widgets, but there are only six to choose from, including music player, image gallery, alarm clock, multiple time zones, notes and calendar.

There are four shortcut icons on all three standby screens, so users can quickly jump to phone dialer, contacts, messaging menu and the main menu. You will also find a drop-down menu of shortcuts called the "Annunciator" on the top of any screen. This menu gives access to a wide range of functions, such as music player, ring/vibration profile, new text message, new email, as well as turning on and off the Bluetooth connection.

Besides making almost all phone functions handy with quick menus and shortcuts, the full QWERTY keyboard of LG Xenon also allows users to send text messages and emails in a quicker and easier way. Keys are well-spaced and tactile, making typing an easier job. What’s more, there are specialized keys like "@" and ".com", which are especially useful when entering email addresses and web URLs. One thing to note is that, LG Xenon does not support POP or IMAT email, so users can only reach a limited number of accounts.

LG Xenon has a 2.0-megapixel camera and offers an image editor and filters to enhance image quality. With a MicroSD card slot, the device supports an expandable memory of up to 16GB, on top of its 80MB internal storage size. Measuring 0.62" thick and being fairly lightweight at 3.81 ounces, the device is slim enough to fit in pockets.

Currently available in black, blue and red, LG Xenon is definitely one of the hottest messaging phones with its stylish touchscreen interface and plenty of features.
