Samsung Jack i637 – Your Ideal Personal Assistant
AT&T has recently launched the Samsung Jack (i637), which is both a messaging-centric device and a business smartphone. As a worthy successor of the popular Samsung BlackJack and BlackJack II, the Jack also comes with a great variety of business features for mobile professionals.
The smartphone launches with Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard OS, but it can be upgraded to version 6.5 once the new platform is ready. As a Windows Mobile-powered device, the Jack is preloaded with software that allows users to manage Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on the device. Users can also access corporate and personal emails using Microsoft Exchange Server or Xpress Mail, as well as synchronizing schedules and contacts through the Microsoft Direct Push.
The Jack features a full QWERTY keyboard and 3G connectivity, just like the Blackjacks. The front-facing keyboard enables quick and easy text entry through various messaging options, including SMS, MMS, Instant Messaging (IM) and emails. Users can also keep conversations tidy and organized with the Threaded Messaging function.
Compare to its predecessors, the Jack improves with newly-added Wi-Fi connectivity, more RAM (256MB) and a faster CPU (528MHz), which allow faster access to the web for downloads. Together with Internet Explorer Mobile, users can enjoy quick and easy web browsing experience on the 2.4" landscape QVGA display.
Other features on the Jack include stereo Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free access, and a built-in A-GPS supported by AT&T Navigator.
With excellent messaging features and multimedia options, as well as all the business tools, Samsung Jack (i637) is not only a high-tech smartphone that packs everything you need, but also your ideal personal assistant.
