User Guide – LCD Protective Film
LCD Protective Film is a cost-effective and handy add-on for cell phones, which helps preventing surface scratches, and protecting your handset from fingerprints, dirt and dust. It adheres directly to the screen surface and is removable without leaving residues.
Extra care is needed when applying the LCD Protective Film to your cell phone. Beware of dust, hairs or other particles, since they may create air bubbles between the film and the screen, which are hard to rub out.
Besides cell phones, the LCD protective film is also applicable on other digital gadgets, including PDAs, in-car GPS displays and cameras. There are two common types of LCD Protective Film available nowadays: one is designed for specific models, which comes in an exact size, while the other one is a universal protective film that can fit most of the cell phone models, but have to be cut to the correct size before application.
How to apply the LCD Protective Film?
1. For those using Universal LCD Protective Film will first have to measure the LCD area to protect. Mark on the protective film and cut to size.
2. Clean the screen surface with the soft cloth to avoid dust and hairs.
3. Quickly remove the backing#1 of the protective film. Apply the film, with adhesive side facing towards the screen.
4. Align the protective film to the screen edges. Apply light pressure to the film evenly across the surface until the film is completely adhered.
5. Remove the backing#2 of the film. Use the soft cloth to press out any air bubble trapped inside, starting from the center of the screen out towards the edges.
Notes:
In case any dust or dirt is trapped between the protective film and the screen, you may need to take out the film and clean it. Remove the film and lay it on a clean flat surface with adhesive side facing up, then use masking tape to remove the dirt and try to reapply.
Your cell phone and other digital devices are your investment. In order to avoid expensive replacements, it is always important to protect your gadgets.
