LG Vu Plus GR700 – Keeps You Entertained On the Go
The LG Vu Plus GR700 is AT&T's latest Mobile TV-enabled phone designed for watching TV shows. As a successor to the LG Vu, the Vu Plus now boasts a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, a revamped interface, an improved camera and AT&T Social Net, while preserving some goodies of its predecessor, like the 3-inch capacitive touchscreen.
The Vu Plus is a slider feature phone with a 240x400-pixel 262k-color screen complemented by a four-row keyboard for speedy text messaging. It uses LG's proprietary Flash-based user interface and offers some customization options on widgets, themes, vibration feedback and ringtones. The Vu Plus (4.31" high by 2.1" wide by 0.6" deep) is about the same size as its original, but is heftier at 3.95 ounces.
Multimedia fans will appreciate the assortment of broadband services offered by AT&T. You can watch full-length broadcast shows from 12 popular channels with Mobile TV for a monthly subscription. With Social Net, you will be constantly updated on your friends' latest feeds on various social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
Besides, the carrier brings AT&T Video Share, AT&T Music, MusicID2 and XM Radio to enhance your mobile experience. Enabled with GPS capability, the handset is compatible with AT&T Navigator for both voice and on-screen turn-by-turn directions. The phone runs on high-speed 3G connectivity, so everything will be done blazing fast.
Like the old Vu, the Vu Plus offers an array of email and messaging options. Apart from multimedia and threaded text messaging, you can chat with friends on AIM, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger, and you will have access to your personal email accounts, such as AOL, Gmail and Yahoo Mail.
Other than these, you also get stereo Bluetooth, a full HTML Web browser, a one-touch speakerphone, an 1000-entry phonebook, a 3.0-megapixel camera/camcorder with flash and 2x digital zoom, plus a music player with background music mode and support for MP3, WMA and AAC/AAC+ formats. The phone offers only 50MB of internal memory, but also supports memory expansion up to 16GB via its microSD card slot.
